Now before any reader gets the bright idea to correct my title, please note that it was an intended redundancy. As this blog will mostly serve the purpose of making fun of things in my life, I feel it most appropriate to start off on that foot.
Other than being the birthplace of such famous persons as the voice of Scooby Doo, Scott Innes, Designing Women producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, and NCAA basketball star (and certainly future NBA superstar) Tyler Hansborough, my beautiful hometown of Poplar Bluff, Missouri is probably best known for its high per capita level of education. Poplar Bluff High School and the more prestigious Three Rivers Community College exemplify the high quality of academic scholarship found in southeastern Missouri.
Back to this post's title, First Inaugural Post. My senior year of high school brought an unexpected surprise, the addition of a swim team. Our shirts that year said "First Inaugural Season." Needless to say, I had some catching up to do when I went off to college.
